Basically what would happen if you would be in a relationship (this also means having sex) with for example your grandmother's sister's grandchild

Basically your second cousin

What do you think ....is this socially "acceptable"?

well, incest is definitely a taboo subject, but I feel if both parties are in love with each other, who am I to judge? (But just don't go having babies.)

Edit; I cannot spell today. :(

You from Tasmania m8???

Nah i dunno. I'd be pretty grossed out if a second cousin came onto me! That's some unnecessary exchanging of dna right there!

No. :|

Like I said, if there is mutual love between both parties, I don't see a problem as long as they don't go making mutated babies.

It is bizarre that there are a lot of long-relatives it is not just not second cousins but ......for example

My grand grandmother's brothers' grand grand childrens....which I really know nothing about. It might happen if I accidentally have sex with a girl...who tends to be one of the offsprings of that family tree.....

Weird

Besides I guess the DNA is pretty much "refreshed" as far as second cousins concerned......but I Am not a genealogist so who knows

why write out the emotional impact of finding out that your lover is your sibling when that video does it for me?

and as an elite yourself, you should know that you should've just reported my post instead of bitching about it, otherwise it just makes you a hypocrite.

now to stay on topic so that you don't cry over my post: no.

It depends on the relation, like blood relative or just by marriage etc.

Personally if i found out I was blood related to a person i was seeing, the idea of that would always linger in my head, (That to me that is just wrong), and I would have to break up.

But say if you married a girl, and her mother married your father........then you'd be step siblings, which isn't and issue in the grand scheme of things.

The way he teases the whole thing out, saying how hard it's going to be, how much it'll mess with them, leading the first guy on by showing how he looks like his dad etc. Then he does the pause after reading the results like it's the f***ing X Factor or something. Then they film them receiving pretty devastating news, show their gutted reaction and then he has the gall to ask them what they're thinking?

I hate Jeremy Kyle so much.

As for the topic, I find it pretty weird but I don't really care that much.

You're worried about ending up with a third cousin? A second cousin is insignificant enough, but a third?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

You're asking if it's socially acceptable when you know the answer is no. Everyone knows that it's not socially acceptable to date within the family.

However, whether people actually do it or not is up to them. I personally wouldn't, but I don't care in the slightest what other people do with their lives.
